A Job Order Contract is an indefinite quantity construction contract pursuant to which the Contractor may perform an ongoing series of individual Projects at different locations throughout the County. Job Order Contracting is typically used for small to medium repair and rehabilitation work, replacement in kind projects, and minor new construction. The bid documents include a Construction Task Catalog(R) containing construction tasks with preset Unit Prices. All Unit Prices are based on local labor, material and equipment prices and are for the direct cost of construction. Deadline for questions shall be 5:00 pm, Tuesday, September 30, 2025. If needed, Addendum(s) will be posted on ONLINE by Thursday, October 09, 2025. Each bid shall be made out on the Bid Form contained in the specifications. A cashier's check or Bid Bond in the amount often percent (10%) ofthe amount ofthe bid price shall be submitted with the bid as evidence of good faith that the Bidder, if successful, will enter a Contract satisfactory to the County. The successful bidder, in addition thereto, will furnish Surety Bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid covering payment of labor and materials, and one hundred percent (100%) of the bid covering faithful performance. The successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond, each in the amount of $2,000,000 for B-License Contractors and $1,000,000 for C-License Contractors, as security for the payment of all persons performing and furnishing materials in connection with this Contract. Ifthe aggregate outstanding Job Orders issued under the contract exceed $1,000,000, increases in the Payment and Performance Bonds in increments of $500,000 will be required such that the amount of the Payment and Performance Bonds are not less than one hundred percent (100%) ofthe outstanding aggregate Job Orders issued. Bonds shall remain in force for the duration and until completion of any outstanding Job Order. At no time may the sum of outstanding Job Orders exceed the amount of the Payment and Performance Bonds. Additionally, a "Letter of Bond Ability" will be required at the time of Contract award from the same surety company stating that the Contractor has the ability to bond to the Maximum Contract Value. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte reserves the right to reject any or all bids or alternate bids deemed not advantageous to the County of Butte, and to waive any informality in any bid received. The award, if made, will be executed within forty-five (45) calendar days after opening of bids.
