Renovation of a residential development in Tupper Lake, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Install new, energy efficient windows throughout the home. CR Number: 2126405 Whole house window replacement. The vendor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to complete the work in a professional manner according to scope of work and architectural drawings if supplied. Work is to be completed within 30 days of award, unless modified below. This is a NYS Public Works project, and prevailing wages are to be paid. Certified Payrolls must be submitted at time of completion. Refer to attached specification for the following scope of work. Site must be cleaned, and all materials secured at the end of each workday. Absolutely no scraps, especially fasteners, are to be left unsecured. Upon completion of window replacement, and before removal of equipment and scaffolding, contractor is to schedule a quality control and quality assurance inspection with Plant Superintendent or his/her representative. SCOPE OF WORK includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Remove and properly dispose of existing windows throughout the home. 2. Removal, if necessary, shall include cutting of existing siding to accommodate installation of NEW CONSTRUCTION windows in original rough opening. 3. Install new, energy efficient windows in existing openings. Quantity and sizes are as follows. I. Qty. (7) double casement (Bedroom) windows 4'5"h x 4'2"w II. Qty. (5) single casement (Dayrooms 5'5"h x 2'1" w III. Qty. (2) Triple casement (Day/dining rooms) 5'5"h x 6'3" w IV. Qty. (1) double casement (Foyer) 5'5"h x4'2" w 4. New windows shall be sized to fit existing openings without modification to the house framing structure. 5. New windows shall be insulated and sealed as per manufacturer's instructions to ensure weather tightness. 6. Windows shall be vinyl, matching (as closely as possible) the original manufacturer, color, and function of the existing windows 7. Replacement windows must not exceed NYS Energy Code required U-factor maximum of .30 8. Installation of new exterior trim. Trim shall be painted to match existing exterior color. 9. Where necessary, existing interior trim shall be restored to its original condition upon completion of work All questions or requests for information shall be submitted, in writing, to kyle.m.beaudette@opwdd.ny.gov OPWDD is soliciting quotes from responsible and qualified MWBE, SDVOB or NYS small business contractors to provide a whole house window replacement service for Sunmount DDSO at 57 Haymeadow Dr. This procurement opportunity is limited to New York State Small Businesses, New York State businesses certified pursuant to Articles 15-A and 17-B of the New York State Executive Law - Empire State Development Corporation Certified Minority or Woman Owned business (MWBE) or New York State Office of General Services Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) only.
