This damage was caused by direct exposure to flames or indirect exposure to heat, smoke, and soot. The work will include: - Treating charred structural elements using the methods specified in this call for tenders. - Removing fire debris from under the entire building and around its perimeter. - Treatment of interior finishes affected by soot, moisture, and residual fire odors. This includes wall surfaces, floors, ceilings, as well as electromechanical components and furniture. Some elements will need to be dismantled, cleaned off-site, and then reinstalled once treated, in accordance with the procedures described in the call for tenders. - Any openings made in the exterior cladding must be adequately protected from the elements until it is replaced. - Selective demolition of the east side and center of the building according to the plans of the structural engineer and architect of CSSLaval. - Demolition of the existing floor on the west side to access the supporting structure below. - New floor structure. - Redo the finishes according to the professionals' plans (floor, ceiling, insulation, exterior finish, etc.). - Final cleaning of the construction site. - Interior work on the ground floor under negative pressure to control carbonized dust.
