The Contractor will perform the pipe coating tasks as following noted and in accordance with the details provided in the Contract documents or as directed by the Engineer on: CATTAIL MARSH WETLAND 72-INCH OUTFALL PIPE COATING. _ The work generally includes: 1. Provide a construction schedule to facilitate scheduling of work to be performed by the OWNER and others. The CONTRACTOR will be required to submit for the Engineer's approval a construction sequence of the phased installation for the proposed work. 2. The project includes blasting and painting of the entire 72" diameter Wetland Outfall pipe, approximately 644 linear feet, as shown on the project plans and described in this specification. Contractor shall verify all dimensions prior to submitting the bid. 3. Remove pipe hold-down straps prior to painting or blasting operations and reinstall them once the painted pipe is completely dry. Straps are intended as a preventative measure and should not be tightened against the pipe. 4. Provide protection/cover for the flow monitoring device/conduit, supports, or other structures that are not specified in the Contract documents. 5. Protection of existing Willow Marsh Bayou Waterway and the adjacent outfall channel by preventing blasting dust, coating materials, and debris from entering and/or contaminating the Willow Marsh Bayou waterway. Ensure the safety of personnel during operations for the pipe segment over Willow Marsh Bayou waterway and take necessary precautions. Ensure disposal of excess material is done in accordance with the Contract documents. Restore the site to original conditions or better. Ensure all painting and blasting operations are inspected by aNACE-certified inspector holding a Level 1 certification or higher to verify compliance with standards outlined in this contract. The inspection report included in the Appendix must be properly and completely filled out by the on-site Contractor employee or approved representative, with a current NACE Inspector Certification, and submitted to the engineer and project manager daily. 10. Provide proper facilities for access and inspection by 3rd Party Inspectors, Engineers, Suppliers, and representatives of Federal, State and local agencies, directly or indirectly involved with the project
