Playground Replacement The City of Overland Park is interested in retaining a contractor to provide design, manufacture and installation services for the following project This project consists of the replacement of aging and deteriorating play structure at the location, Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead (MP-3066): 13800 Switzer Rd., Overland Park, KS 66221. Current playground space is approximately 4,700 square feet (Exhibit A). Space could be adjusted in size if needed. Maximize play area to minimize open synthetic turf area. The play area shall have a farm themed mix of post and deck, climbers, slides, berms and other unique features designed for ages 2 to 12. A 12" x 12" concrete playground border and surfacing to be provided and installed by the winning bidder. Surfacing should be in the form of alternate quotes for Playground turf area 'A' and Playground turf area 'B' but should not exceed the project budget. The contractor will be responsible for the removal of the existing playground and existing mulch. The excess spoil material will be removed by the contractor. The contractor will excavate and set grade heights for the playground install. Acceptable colors for the play structure shall be approved by City Staff. Maximum playground budget is $425,000.00.
