The Project includes the following Work: Replacement of Mechanical HVAC equipment located at the Kansas Presedementation Facility, including one (1) air handling unit, two (2) condensers, one (1) electric duct heater, fan and control damper, one (1) electric unit heater, and new HVAC controls. HVAC controls shall include a network controller, field devices and monitoring, programming of the controller and associated graphics, and updated electrical drawings. All labor for the installation and relocation of equipment, as well as all electrical and piping modifications necessary for their operation shall be part of the Work. Disposal of the old units and parts will be the responsibility of the Contractor. The Bid security shall be made payable, without condition, to Owner. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Public Works Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the contract. If the Contract is to be awarded, Owner will award a Contract to the Bidder who, in Owner's judgment, is the lowest, qualified, responsible, and responsive Bidder. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation the rights to reject any or all erroneous, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids, and to reject the Bid of any Bidder or all Bids if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of Owner to make an award to that Bidder. Owner also reserves the right to waive informalities. Pre-Bid Site Visit Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that do not conduct a Site Visit to become familiar with the Work.
