Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: BASE BID Option 1 (Conventional Open Cut / Sewer Lines A / B & Lift Station with Force Main) Construct a total of 3,854 LF of 8- and 6-inch diameter sewer lines with associated manholes, cleanouts along State Highway 150 between FM 2025 Construct 3,380 LF of 3-inch diameter sewer force main along State Highway 150 from the City s existing collection system to a proposed Lift Station. Construct a New Lift Station and related work. Construct a Standby Emergency Power Generator and Related Improvements at SH 150 Lift Station Site. Construct a 6-inch replacement sewer crossing SH 150 at the intersection of SH 150 and Weaver Street. Construct a Standby Emergency Power Generator and Related Improvements at the existing Pea Patch Lift Station to replace the existing generator and related components. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to City of Coldspring or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Cash currency is not acceptable as bid surety and is not to be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Bids may be held by City of Coldspring for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder s qualifications prior to the contract award. All contractors/subcontractors that are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project. City of Coldspring reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
