Bids are invited for S.H. 150 Sewer Improvements, with work items as follows: BASE BID Option 1 (Conventional Open Cut / Sewer Lines A / B & Lift Station with Force Main): 1. Construct a total of 3,854 LF of 8- and 6-inch diameter sewer lines with associated manholes, cleanouts along State Highway 150 between FM 2025. 2. Construct 3,380 LF of 3-inch diameter sewer force main along State Highway 150 from the City's existing collection system to a proposed Lift Station. 3. Construct a new Lift Station and related work. BASE BID Option 2 (Directional Boring / Sewer Lines A / B & Lift Station with Force Main): 1. Construct a total of 3,854 LF of 8- and 6-inch diameter sewer lines with associated manholes, cleanouts along State Highway 150 between FM 2025. 2. Construct 3,380 LF of 3-inch diameter sewer force main along State Highway 150 from the City's existing collection system to a proposed Lift Station. 3. Construct a new Lift Station and related work. Additive Bid B: Construct a Standby Emergency Power Generator and Related Improvements at SH 150 Lift Station Site. Additive Bid D: Construct a 6-inch replacement sewer crossing SH 150 at the intersection of SH 150 and Weaver Street. Additive Bid E: Construct a Standby Emergency Power Generator and Related Improvements at the existing Pea Patch Lift Station to replace the existing generator and related components. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to City of Coldspring or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value) may be submitted as an alternative to the Bid Bond. Cash is not acceptable as bid surety. Contractors must pay at least the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate as issued by the Texas General Land Office and ensure non-discrimination in hiring. Bidders must comply with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 regarding hiring and subcontracting objectives for Section 3 Residents and Business Concerns. Bid/Contract Documents may be viewed and downloaded (free of charge or for hard copy purchase) online as specified. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities. Bids may be held for up to 60 days for review and investigation of bidder qualifications.
