The project consists of installing new owner-provided electric bus chargers at the CyRide facility, 601 N. University Blvd., Ames, IA 50010 Each bid shall include the bid security as defined in Code of Iowa Section 26.8 and as specified in the Instructions to Bidders.. After award and approval of contract and performance bond, work on this contract shall substantially completed no later than November 30, 2025. Each successful bidder shall be required to furnish a corporate surety bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of its contract price. Said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City Council and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the contract and the terms and conditions therein contained and shall guarantee the prompt payment of all material and labor, and protect and save harmless the City from claims and damages of any kind caused by the operations of the contract and shall also guarantee the maintenance of the improvement in good repair for a period of one (1) year from and after the completion and acceptance by the City. The City does hereby reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City.
