Project scope includes interior renovations to an existing building that was built in 1923 and has had multiple renovations since then. The renovations are limited to interior work only, as indicated in various administrative suites, lobbies, corridors and the esports gaming lounge. MEP renovations to the spaces are included as part of the work. The adjacent Hunter storage building has minimal renovations. The scope of work includes demolition of all non-operational and non-required building systems and providing new building systems as needed for it to continue operation as a high-piled storage building, and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. As of September 26, 2025, a site walk has been scheduled from 10;00 to 11:00 AM on Monday September 29, 2025. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cash deposit or a certified check drawn on some bank or trust company, insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, of an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal, or in lieu thereof a bidder may offer a bid bond of five percent (5%) of the bid executed by a surety company licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond. Said deposit shall be retained by the owner as liquidated damages in event of failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract within ten days after the award or to give satisfactory surety as required by law. The Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
