Site work and new construction of a multi-residential development in Brantford, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 60,000-square-foot, three-story above grade, 18-unit multi-residential development.
Brantford City Council approved a staff recommendation to support the development of 18 new affordable housing units by Brantford Native Housing. The development will include a mix of one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, office space, indoor and outdoor programming areas, as well as a green space and traditional medicine garden. The City will enter into a 10-year funding agreement with Brantford Native Housing that will provide a municipal contribution of $62,500 per unit, totaling $1,125,000, to be paid over a decade following construction completion. Site locations: 247 to 253 West Street, Brantford. TIMELLINE: Groundbreaking was held September 2025. Construction is underway; awarded trades will NOT BE released for publication. Construction will take approx. 12-14 months to complete.
