The East Central Baldwin Water Authority is requesting Bids for maintenance of approximately 400 fire hydrants. Fire Hydrants will be given 100 at a time. Not all 400 will be completed at one time. Scope of Work: \b Fire Hydrants must have vegetation removed at least 3 feet away from the hydrant and this includes any low hanging limbs. Environmentally safe weed control must be sprayed around the hydrant to help with regrowth of grass and weeds. \b Hydrants must be exercised using a diffuser in a safe manner. Do not put water into an area that would cause a liability to contractor or utility. \b Hydrant must be lubricated according to manufacturer recommendations \b All caps must be removed and reinstalled with food grade grease on the threads \b Hydrant must be cleaned with a wire brush mechanically or by hand before applying paint. \b Paint hydrant with 2 coats of "RED" fire hydrant paint and Caps shall be painted with 2 coats of "WHITE". \b RED Paint - RUST-OLEUM \ PRO SAFETY RED 100VOC \b WHITE Paint - RUST-OLEUM \ PRO GLOSS WHITE 100VOC \b Stenciling Identification number on each hydrant \b Workorder must be completed for each hydrant \b Issue or inoperable hydrant report with quote to repair is due at the end of project \b Printable Electronic Booklet of all hydrants at the end of the project
