A bid security shall be provided with each bid. Bid security shall be in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount. The bid security shall be cash, a certified check or cashier's check drawn to the order of the Georgetown Divide Public Utility District or a Bidder's Bond executed by a surety satisfactory to the Georgetown Divide Public Utility District on the form provided in the Proposal section of the Contract Documents. Bidders are solely responsible for all costs associated with the preparation of their bids. Bids may be held by the Georgetown Divide Public Utility District for a period not to exceed sixty (60) calendar days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract.
