Project consist in installing Emergency Preemption Equipment System on existing controller cabinets on E. Main Street. The successful bidder must possess a current, valid Class A, General Engineering or a Class C-10 Electrical Contractor's License issued by the State of California. All bids must be sealed and accompanied by cash, cashier's check, certified check, or Bid Bond made payable to the City in the sum of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. For the purposes of this Section, "the amount of the bid" includes all additive alternates but does not include deductive alternates. The award of Contract will be made by the City Council. The Contractor shall execute the Contract within ten (10) work days after receipt of the Contract from the City. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Prior to the performance of any work hereunder, the successful bidder shall be required to furnish both a payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price and a faithful performance bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price. Bids shall be made upon the form(s) provided in the contract documents. All bids shall be properly completed with all items filled out; numbers shall be in writing and figures; the signatures of all persons signing shall be in longhand. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the time set for the opening of bids. The City Council will act to accept or reject bids within that period of time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
