Contract documents may be examined and obtained at the Municipal Engineer's Office, Schaeffer Nassar Scheidegg Consulting Engineers, LLC, 1425 Cantillon Boulevard, Mays Landing, New Jersey, (609) 625-7400, Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m Bids must be made on the Bid Proposal Form contained in Section 3 of the Technical Bid Specifications and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked, Toilet Room Renovations at Town Hall and bearing the name and address of the Bidder clearly marked on the outside. The bid specifications are for the renovations to the Bathrooms located in the Municipal Building at 890 Harding Highway in Buena Vista Township, County of Atlantic, State of New Jersey. Bid security in the form of a certified treasurer's or cashier's check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the bid amount not to exceed $20,000 is required and should be made payable to The Township of Buena Vista with a letter of surety. Prevailing wages established under the Davis-Bacon Act will apply to this contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, goals for minority and female participation, MBE and WBE participation, participation by Section 3 residents and businesses, and related matters. The Township of Buena Vista reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and accept same if deemed in the best interests of the citizens of the Township of Buena Vista. Award shall be made to the lowest qualified, responsible and responsive vendor who must provide certificate(s) of insurance for Worker s Compensation, general liability and auto insurance coverages; with the Township of Buena Vista named as additional insured. Chosen vendor must execute an indemnification / hold harmless agreement prepared by the Township of Buena Vista. Toilet Room Renovations at Town Hall, as described herein, and all necessary appurtenances required for proper completion of said project, shall be substantially completed within one hundred (100) calendar days from the issuance date of the Notice to Proceed. This project is a priority to the Township of Buena Vista. The Municipality intends to award the project to the low bidder with the Preconstruction Conference and Notice to Proceed to occur immediately thereafter. The Contractor shall be prepared to order all necessary equipment immediately and mobilize and begin construction as necessary for completion within 100 days of the Notice to Proceed.
