Scope of Work The purpose of this request for proposal is to establish a term contract for the replacement of backflow preventers. The covered work consists of furnishing all labor, material, equipment, transportation, and supervision for performing all necessary operations required for proper execution of scope of work as listed on the attached pages. Provide a full set of plans/design to install a new N- Style Fire Service Backflow preventor, or similar at each location. Per LADBS and NFPA 24, (2016ED), Chula Vista Fire Department, Sweetwater Authority and CA. Building Code. 2. Per the Water Authority, Each Backflow will be submitted and completed as a separate project. 3. The contractor is responsible for all plans, permits, inspections, and all fees must be included. 4. Must make any modifications needed to make this a turnkey project. Demo as needed, and remove existing check valve, FDC, and old backflow and dispose of all materials. 5. Flush underground and provide inspection. 6. Trench as needed, include new conduit and wire to the nearest fire alarm data circuit to install tamper switches and all necessary equipment. 7. Modify existing irrigation as needed and repair grass around working areas. 8. Backfill and compact soil as needed, and repair asphalt/concrete areas and seal coat patches. 9. Install a new 2-way FDC. 10. Install underground shut off valve with access box
