The City of Ladue Fire Department is seeking qualified contractors to submit proposals for the resurfacing of the engine bay floor at the firehouse. The total area to be resurfaced is approximately 1,775 square feet. The project includes surface preparation, crack and joint repair, application of a durable floor coating, and the addition of yellow guide stripes in each bay to assist with vehicle alignment. 2. Scope of Work The selected contractor shall: o Surface Preparation o - Mechanically grind or shot-blast the existing concrete surface to ensure proper adhesion. o - Remove all contaminants including oil, grease, and debris. o Crack and Joint Repair o - Identify and repair all visible cracks, joints, and surface imperfections using appropriate materials. o Floor Coating Application o - Apply a high-performance, non-slip, chemical-resistant epoxy or polyaspartic coating suitable for heavy vehicle traffic. o - Ensure proper curing and finish according to manufacturer specifications. o Striping o - Install two yellow guide stripes, one in each bay, centered and aligned to assist drivers in backing in apparatus. o - Stripe dimensions and placement to be coordinated with the Fire Department prior to application. 4.
