Highway W Water Main Extension PWSD No. 6 of Jefferson County Question Deadline 10/02/2025 Bidders may request clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents by making a written request which shall reach the Owner at least seven (7) days prior to the date for receipt of bids. The Scope of Work includes the construction of approximately 9,772 lineal feet of 8-inch diameter PVC water main, including approximately 185 lineal feet of 8-inch diameter restrained joint PVC carrier pipe and steel encasement bored under Highway W, approximately 145 lineal feet of 8-inch diameter restrained joint water main bored under a bridge revetment, approximately 200 lineal feet of 8-inch diameter restrained joint water main bored under Dulin Creek, 8,272 lineal feet of 8-inch PVC water main installed via open trench method, associated fire hydrants, valves, fittings, hardware, flow control valve and other incidental items and work described in the Project Manual, or reasonably inferable therefrom. The Project will include approximately 970 lineal feet of HDPE encasement and carrier pipe that will be bored under the Big River. Said bore will be installed by pre-approved boring contractor selected by the District/Engineer. All pre-approved contractors shall meet the necessary requirements described in the specifications. If a boring contractor wishes to become a pre-approved contractor, sufficent data must be presented to the District/Engineer a minimum of 7 days prior to Bid Opening. A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The owner intends to award the contract to the most responsive, responsible bidder Submitting the lowest bid. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and To waive any irregularities in the best interest of the owner.
