The Town is interested in procuring a PRN contract for Engineering Services for a three-year term with the option of a five-year contract. We have a SCADA project, water storage tank project and a couple of road projects to be addressed. The Town of Alto requests statements of qualifications and proposals from firms to provide comprehensive engineering services for state and federally assisted water supply improvements, including but not limited to planning, preliminary engineering, permitting, funding assistance, surveying, mapping, design, and construction administration. Within a year from the date of this notice the Town of Alto plans to sign a contract with a reputable firm to perform the above activities for a period of three (3) years, with an option to renew the agreement annually for an additional two (2) years. Responding firms must be licensed in the State of Georgia and demonstrate strong qualifications and successful experience to provide all necessary engineering services for public water systems. The Town of Alto will select the firm it determines to be most qualified to provide engineering services for its water system. This procurement will support possible funding through the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA), Economic Development Administration (EDA), Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), USDA Rural Development, and/or any funding agency subject to requirements of 2 CFR 200 for procurement. This request is not a request for retainer services. Immediate plans call for engineering services required to assist the Town of Alto with water system and street improvements, including purchasing and implementation of a Scada system and a storage tank for the water system and rerouting an existing street(s) to provide safer intersections and traffic flow. Water system and traffic evaluation and planning may lead to recommendations and implementation of additional improvements during the period of this agreement.
