Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility.
Plans call for construction of a new central police headquarters (approx. 450,000 sq. ft.). Three sites are currently under consideration: 1. Current HTP Headquarters, including the adjacent Centennial Pool parcel and nearby retail property 2. 375 Cowie Hill Rd (currently partially occupied by HRM Facility Maintenance and Operations) 3. Burnside industrial Park - Phase 13 - exact site TBD Scope of work to be determined. TIMELINE: Project is in early stages of planning. Republic Architecture Inc. has been engaged for pre-design services. Work includes space needs assessment, functional programming, site analysis, test fit concepts, phase facility improvement plan and cost estimation. Further update may be available mid-/late 2026.
