PROJECT DESCRIPTION/SCOPE OF WORK: This project involves hazardous material abatement and reglazing of Greenhouse 3 (GH-3) at Torrey Life Sciences at the University of Connecticut. Work includes removal of all single pane glazing and compression brackets (roof only), cleaning of glass and framing, and reinstallation using approved primer and structural silicone sealant systems. Adhesion testing will be performed per ASTMC1521. Scope also includes removal and off-site disposal of approximately 5,500 linear feet of asbestos- and PCB-containing glazing compounds associated with 1,652 glass panes. COST PROPOSAL: Submit a Cost Proposal utilizing the Form provided. No substitution of the Form is permitted. FINANCIAL ABILITY: The lowest responsible Bidder will be required to submit their Company's financial documents within 5 business days of notification from the University. The financial documents must demonstrate the Company's ability to complete a construction project with a minimum value of at least $400,000.
