Renovation of an educational facility in Storrs Mansfield, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.

The purpose is to solicit bids for the Hanks and Goodyear Hall Thermal Comfort Improvements project at the Storrs Campus. The Intent is for construction by a general contractor or trade contractor. All Requests for Information questions should be posted under the Q&A Board Tab in the HuskyBuy sourcing event. Interpretations of documents will be issued as clarifications/addenda posted as part of the HuskyBuy sourcing event. Cost proposals received in response will be opened during a public opening, and the lowest responsible Bidder is determined by adding the Total Bid Amount plus any accepted Alternates. The University reserves the right to implement some, all, or none of the Alternates. Prices for Alternates are not negotiable. Liquidated Damages of $500.00 per calendar day will be assessed for failure to achieve Substantial Completion within the Contract Time. Prevailing Wages are required if the total cost of all work to be performed is $100,000.00 or more and subject to Connecticut General Statutes. Pre-qualification requirements: Only prequalified contractors, specifically All State Construction Inc and The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, may submit a bid for this project. The project schedule/duration has not changed from the Request for Statement of Qualifications. Q&A (RFI) Due Date and Time 10/22/2025 2:00 PM The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. The project consists of Mechanical/Electrical, Architectural. Structural, and Hazardous Material engineering for approximately 135,000 SF +/- to provide space cooling to floors 2 through 4 of the Northwest Quad Dorm Complex including addressing existing building pressurization issues.WORK UNDER SEPARATE CONTRACTS A. General: Cooperate fully with contractors that may have been issued separate contract(s) to perform certain construction operations at the site prior to construction activity under this contract so work on those contracts may be carried out smoothly, without interfering with or delaying work under this Contract or other contracts. Coordinate the Work of this Contract with work performed under separate contracts.
