The Town of Mount Pleasant has elected to pursue a contract for pedestrian safety improvements on Harry M. Hallman Jr. Boulevard and Von Kolnitz Road. The Procurement Division for the Town of Mount Pleasant (Town) will receive Bids from qualified and interested Bidders for the installation of pedestrian infrastructure improvements, as specified within the Solicitation Documents contained herein Question Deadline 02/05/2026 at 12:00 PM ET The Bidder shall at once notify and place in writing any identification of any discrepancies or ambiguities, in the Solicitation Documents, to the Town Procurement Division A Bid deposit shall be required from all Bidders, equal to five (5%) percent of the Bid amount. These deposits may be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bond. Separate Performance and Material and Labor Payment Bonds equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the contract amount will be required from the successful Bidder upon signing of the Contract. All contractors shall be properly licensed by the State of South Carolina. The work will consist of pedestrian infrastructure improvements at two locations within the Town of Mount Pleasant as follows: Location 1: Harry M. Hallman Jr. Blvd The project scope includes but is not limited to removal of limited asphalt and curb, milling, installation of tree (3) concrete raised table crosswalks, pedestrian ramps, signage, pavement markings, Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs), and sidewalk improvements Location 2: Von Kolnitz Road The project scope includes but is not limited to approximately 1,160 feet of new concrete sidewalk, construction of pedestrian ramp, 1,400 feet of stained concrete pavement, asphalt paving, installation of reinforced concrete pipe culverts, drainage structures, thermoplastic pavement markings, tree removal and tree protection. The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the solicitation, to negotiate with all qualified Bidders, to accept or reject any or all Bids received as a result of this Invitation, to cancel in part or in its entirety and to award or refrain from awarding the project to any Bidder, if it is in the best interest of the Town to do so.
