Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work for the Scanlonville Praise House Park will consist of, but not be limited to, selective clearing and grading, installation of boardwalk and sidewalk, landscaping tasks, and installation of on-street parking and amenities. The contractor is responsible for and will be held accountable to the strict installation of required tree protection, removal of only specified vegetation, and landscape implementation per the plans. Any questions shall be directed to the Town's project manager. This project will also include traffic control during the construction process in accordance with all Town and SCDOT standards for the applicable roadways. The construction time for these projects shall be one hundred and fifty (150) calendar days from the commencement date in the Notice to Proceed or as determined by lead times by the successful Bidder. The scope of work is more completely described in the plans and specifications. This project is funded in part with Federal funds through a partnership agreement between the South Carolina National Heritage Corridor (SCNHC) and the Town of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, project East Cooper Civic Club Parklet. The successful Bidder shall agree that if the Work, or any part thereof, is not completed within the time agreed and indicated in the Contract Document that he shall be liable to the Town in the applicable amount shown in Section 108.9 of the South Carolina Department of Transportation's Specifications For Highway Construction, 2007 Edition for each and every calendar day the completion of the Work is delayed beyond the time provided in the Contract. A Bid deposit is required from all Bidders, equal to five (5%) percent of the Bid amount. These deposits may be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bond. Separate Performance and Material and Labor Payment Bonds equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the contract amount will be required from the successful Bidder upon signing of the Contract. All contractors must be properly licensed by the State of South Carolina The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the solicitation, to negotiate with all qualified Bidders, to accept or reject any or all Bids received as a result of this Invitation, to cancel in part or in its entirety and to award or refrain from awarding the project to any Bidder, if it is in the best interest of the Town to do so.
