Bidders are invited to submit bids for the Project as described in this Document according to the Instructions to Bidders. Project consists of renovations to the Alden Pool systems and boiler systems at Alden High School. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. Multiple Contract Project consisting of the following prime contracts: b. Contract BP-03 - Mechanical. Bid bond payable to the owner shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days after opening of bids. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. All potential bidders must self-perform a minimum of 20% of the work. The Contractor shall provide 20% construction and/or site supervision as proof of self-performance associated with the contract that they submit bids for. Self-performance cannot include general overhead (i.e. submittals, RFI and RFP paperwork, construction meetings, etc.). All potential bidders must include a completed, signed and acknowledged A305, Contractor's Qualification Statement. Failure to provide a response may result in rejection of the bid s nonresponsive at the discretion of the Owner. Use additional sheets if there is insufficient space provided in the form or an exhibit to supply a complete answer to the question. Bidders or subcontractors who return all Bidding and Contract Documents in good condition within thirty (30) days of receipt of bids and have remitted payment, will receive a full refund of the deposit. Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to re-advertise for new bids and to waive informalities and irregularities in connection with any bid.
