Bids will be opened in the Sturbridge Town Hall, Veteran's Memorial Hall, Second Floor at 308 Main Street by the Office of the Town Administrator on October 30, 2025, at 1:00 pm. The work under this Contract consists of constructing pedestrian improvements for 1/4 mile on the east side of Cedar Street from The Bird Store, 4 Cedar Street to Burgess School Road. The work under this contract consists of constructing cement concrete sidewalk, cement concrete driveway aprons, HMA driveway, new granite curbing, pedestrian curb ramps, crosswalks,construction of a midblock pedestrian crossing with solar-powered Rapid Flashing Beacon(RRFB), and other incidental work. Additional drawings showing details in accordance with which the Work is to be done may be furnished by addendum from time to time during the bidding period by the Owner or its Architect/Engineer, and shall then become a part of the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, services, materials, equipment, plant, machinery, apparatus, appliances, tools, supplies, and all other things necessary to do all work required for the completion of each item of the Work and as herein specified. The Work to be done and paid for under any item shall not be limited to the exact extent mentioned or described but shall include all incidental work necessary or customarily done for the completion of that item.
