A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The Scope of Work includes - The provision and installation of the site improvements and new public restroom as stipulated on the plans for the site and other necessary improvements at the designated location. Not less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages shall be paid to all workmen performing under this contract in this area according to the rates determined by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations of the State of Missouri. The City of Sikeston shall award any contract based on the proposal that, in its sole discretion, best meets the interests and requirements of the City. The City of Sikeston reserves the right in its sole discretion to reject any and all proposals, to waive technicalities or deficiencies in any or all the proposals with sound, documented reason. Negotiation is not allowed, and the lowest responsible bidder will be chosen. Contractors and subcontractors in violation of this provision will forfeit to the City of Sikeston $2,500.00 plus $100.00 a day for each employee who is employed without training.
