Contractor shall provide all necessary materials, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation, licenses, permits, prevailing wages, insurance, bonds, and personnel to provide DSH Metropolitan with fire damper maintenance including repair and/or replacement services. A. Description of Services/Background: 1. Contractor shall provide all necessary materials, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation, licenses, permits, prevailing wages, insurance, bonds, and personnel to provide DSH with fire damper maintenance including repair and/or replacement services. 2. Contractor shall perform both the fire damper inspections as well as perform the testing of the fire alarm system that is integrated with a Siemens energy management system (EMS) for HVAC controls. If contractor cannot perform both required services, then the contractor shall subcontract with a certified licensed technician for the services that they are not licensed to perform. 3. Please carefully review and consider the minimum qualifications, and the detailed Scope of Work located in Attachment 18, Sample Agreement, Exhibit A, Scope of Work, in order to complete your bid. B. Agreement Term and Security Provisions: 1. The term of any agreement resulting from this IFB is anticipated to be October 24, 2025, through June 30, 2028. Any agreement resulting from this IFB shall have no force or effect until it is signed by both parties and approved by the Department of General Services (DGS), if such approval is required. Performance shall start no later than on the expressed date set by the awarding agency and after all approvals have been obtained and the agreement is fully executed. 2. All performance, under the agreement, shall be completed on or before the termination date of the agreement. 3. Should the Contractor fail to commence work at the agreed upon time, the DSH reserves the right to terminate the agreement upon five (5) days written notice to the Contractor. 4. Bidder shall agree to all security provisions where the performance of work takes place on any state hospital grounds. Bidders shall notify DSH immediately and no later than 2:00 p.m. on October 3, 2025 via e-mail at MSHServiceAgreement@dsh.ca.gov and CC: Elizabeth Denegri via email at elizabeth.denegri@dsh.ca.gov.
