The objective of the project is to provide contingency-based as-needed replacement of sections of existing sewer pipelines on short notice at locations to be determined within the City and County of San Francisco. Bid discounts may be applied as per San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 14B and Section 2.01 of Attachment 1. The Local Business Enterprise (LBE) subcontracting requirement is 8.00%. The LBE subcontracting requirement can only be met with certified San Francisco Micro and Small-LBEs. The project involves specialty work scopes, including but not limited to lining side sewers with UV cured liner and 12-inch, 15-inch and 15-inch diameter main sewers with cured-in-place liner (CIPP) and installation of HDPW for side sewers and the main sewer by trenchless pipe-bursting installation method. PUC-LBEs cannot be counted towards meeting the LBE subcontracting requirement(s). Pre-Bid Notes: When prompted, enter the meeting Passcode and # key. If a Bidder objects on any ground to any bid specification or legal requirement imposed by this Advertisement for Bids, the Bidder shall, no later than the 10th working day prior to the date of Bid opening, provide written notice to the Manager, Contract Administration Bureau, setting forth with specificity the grounds for the objection A Class "A" California Contractors License is required to bid. Furthermore, each listed subcontractor must possess appropriate active licenses for the work each subcontractor will be performing.
