Corman Railroad Company/Central Kentucky Lines ("the railroad") has received a Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements (CRISI) grant from the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) for The Bluegrass Multimodal Freight Improvement Project along the railroad's Central Kentucky Lines in Fayette, Franklin, and Woodford counties. The railroad invites all interested contractors to submit bids for the civil/site and track construction for the Rupp Yard infrastructure improvements. The civil-site & track construction includes grading, drainage and erosion control, modify existing sand pads, construct a new walled sand pad expansion, install new pavement in the yard, replace existing switches, track removal as needed for sand pit expansion, and rehabilitating existing crossing surfaces in Rupp Yard.
