R. J. Corman Railroad Company/Central Kentucky Lines is soliciting sealed bid for civil/site and track construction for an upcoming project in Fayette County as part of the Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements. R. J. Corman reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The R. J. Corman Railroad Company/Central Kentucky Lines (“the railroad”) has received a Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements (CRISI) grant from the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) for The Bluegrass Multimodal Freight Improvement Project along the railroads Central Kentucky Lines in Fayette, Franklin, and Woodford counties. The railroad invites all interested contractors to submit bids to complete the design, obtain permits and furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to construct the proposed Administration Office Buildingand Maintenance of Way (MOW) Facility and all the related and miscellaneous work described in the drawings and bid documents, in Lexington, KY for Rupp Yard. The project work tasks shall include, but not be limited to, site development, utility hook-ups, building design and construction to modify RJCC main office building and associated components, building design/demolition and construction of new maintenance of way building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, utility installation and relocation. A detailed list is provided in the Contract Documents. The aforementioned general listing of the project work tasks does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform and complete all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment and materials required by the Drawings and Specifications referred to therein.
