Hendry County is seeking bids from qualified bidders, hereinafter referred to as the Bidder or Contractor, to provide construction services in connection with bridge repairs for Bridge No. 074028 on Fort Denaud Road over Maria's Slough in LaBelle, FL. Please refer to Exhibit "A" for a location map of said bridge. The intent of the Contract is to provide for the construction and completion in every detail of the work including the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies required to complete same in accordance with the Procurement Documents. 2.1 The work consists of bridge repairs for Bridge No. 074028 on Fort Denaud Road Over Maria's Slough in accordance with the plans and specifications package that were prepared by Kisinger Campo & Associates, Corp. which may include, but are not limited to: o Mobilization o Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) incidental to the construction o Installation of floating turbidity barriers and other erosion control measures as required o Clearing and grubbing o Flowable fill o Scour remediation o Reinforcement of steel o Installation of riprap, sand-cement bags o Installation of riprap, rubble, F&I, ditch lining o As-needed utility coordination o Removal and disposal of all materials generated and disposed of at a proper disposal site o Complete restoration of construction site o Secure necessary paperwork to access private property when needed 2.2 Detailed plans with estimated quantities and specifications, are annexed hereto for bidding and construction purposes, and incorporated as Bid and Procurement Documents. 2.3 The Contractor must provide their own equipment and resources necessary for the operation. The Contractor must take precautions to protect private property, structures, equipment, and adjacent facilities from damage that might be caused during construction. Any damage caused by the Contractor in the performance of his work shall be repaired by the Contractor at no cost to the County Hendry County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer. 2.4 The Contractor shall endeavor to protect private property. Any damage caused by the Contractor in the performance of his work shall be corrected to the satisfaction of the Engineer at the Contractor's Expense. 2.5 The Contractor must notify the County Engineer's Office at (863) 675-5222, or the County Engineer's designee, of any equipment failure or other delays that prohibit performance in a timely manner. 2.6 The Contractor must keep in close communication with the County Engineer's Office and the County's Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) Consultant at all times during construction. 2.7 The Contractor shall limit their use of the premises for Work and for storage, to the areas shown on the plans. The Contractor must coordinate use of premises under direction of Engineer.
