**As of February 4, 2026, the project was awarded to GO UNDERGROUND LLC, with an awarded amount of $4,520,229.06.** The City of Brownsville is soliciting bids for the Coffee Road Roadway, Drainage, and Utility Improvements Project. Work includes demolition, site grading, installation of storm drainage and water/wastewater utilities, roadway reconstruction, paving, striping, and associated traffic control. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals required to complete the project Question Deadline 11/11/2025 at 3:00 PM CT Work of the contract is for reconstruction of Coffee Road between Ruben M. Torres Boulevard and Paredes Line Road including the following and as noted in the Construction Drawings: a. Install hot mix asphalt concrete pavement including flexible crushed limestone base and stabilized subgrade. b. Install 24-inch, 30-inch, and 36-inch reinforced concrete pipe storm trunk lines including inlets, manholes and junction boxes. c. Install 5-foot by 5-foot precast box culverts. d. Install canasta headwall at the Hike and Bike Trail outfall. e. Install 8-inch to 12-inch diameter water lines including fire hydrants, valves and fittings. Reconnect to existing water lines, service lines and fire lines. f. Install 8-inch to 12-inch diameter wastewater lines including manholes and service line reconnections. g. Construct sidewalk and shared use path along the project limits. h. Install reflective thermoplastic pavement marking. i. Install concrete swale and pedestrian handrails. The existing and proposed facilities, dimensions and elevations shown on the plans are the Engineer's best information on the location of the existing and proposed utilities. Contractor shall field verify the existing, and proposed facilities, locations, dimensions, angles, and alignments prior to ordering materials and/or initiation of work. Any variation in the planned quantities shall be transmitted to the Engineer for approval prior to commencing work.
