In general, the work consists of: the remodel of existing rooms and create new Telecommunication Equipment Rooms (TR) on multiple floors of Ainsworth Hall, a skilled nursing facility on the WDVA-King Campus. On the First Floor, Second Floor, Third Floor, and Fourth Floors a new TR will be established to provide space for both WDVA and outside vendor cabling and equipment. Adding a security fence in each room will provide separation and control access inside the room by outside vendors in each of the telecom rooms. Existing windows will be removed and infilled to match the exterior face brick cladding. New interior walls will be constructed to match the existing finish. Doors will be replaced as required to provide a secure space and to accommodate Access Control (e.g., Card Reader). All potential bidders must become certified by DOA prior to submitting bids on state construction projects with budgets over $100,000. The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017. This change does not affect the Federal Davis Bacon Act requirements. All bids received from contractors who are not certified will be rejected.
