Renovation of a medical facility in Lewisporte, Newfoundland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

* Owner does not release the Bid Amount at this time. Project will be updated once Awarded Contractor details are announced. Question Acceptance Deadline 2025/10/06 02:00:00 PM NDT 1. Remove existing shingles and supply new asphalt One tab shingles #1 grade, with a minimum 30-year life span. Color samples to be supplied to CH on site manager for confirmation of color. 2. Remove siding above the shingles to the underside of eves and save for reinstallation. 3. Supply unit price to install Tyvek and tuck tape as required to repair or replace missing Tyvek, using Tyvek and tuck tape. 4. Supply and install flashing up the wall as required from the roof to ensure proper seal to prevent leakage between the roof and wall joint. 5. Supply and install new rain and ice shield must be used as required, minimum of the entire perimeter of the roof section. 6. Supply and replace as necessary all roof flanges for all roof penetrations. 7. Install new drip edge for the entire eave perimeter. 8. Supply and install new perforated soffit and 18-gauge white fascia cap on all eaves. 9. Supply and install continuous metal eves trough on all units, for the permitter including the required downspout to ensure proper water drainage away from the dwelling. 10. Immediately after the roof has been stripped, the exposed sheathing must be inspected jointly by Central Health and Contractor to ensure long term serviceability. 11. Damaged or rotten sections of sheathing must be replaced prior to re-shingle. 12. Sections to be replaced must be inspected and approved by the owner's representative prior to placement, in order to facilitate payment. No payment will be made for work without prior approval. 13. Contractor to supply a Unit price quote as shown on Schedule B for damaged sheathing replacement. Any damage as a result of neglect by the contractor will not be considered an extra. 14. Contractor to provide/supply schedule of repairs so the owner may inform residents prior to commencing work. 15. Care must be taken to ensure electrical mast protruding through the roof system is adequately sealed to prevent leaking and water damage. 16. After the shingles have been removed and the roof inspection is complete the contractor is responsible for ensuring that areas that have been stripped of cover and are protected from the elements to prevent water penetration to the underlying structure. Any damage occurred due to negligence of the contractor will become the responsibility of the contractor. 17. Submit unit price replace any damaged fascia and eaves trough to match existing. 18. Submit unit price to replace any damaged soffit. 19. Replace ridge vent with new. Every bidder shall submit with their tender a digital bid bond issued by an approved Surety Company licensed to do business in the Province of Newfoundland and made out to NL Health Services. The bid bond shall be at least ten percent (10%) of the tendered amount. No bidding security will be required for a tendered amount of less than $25,000 unless specifically called for elsewhere in the tender document. PERFORMANCE BOND A Performance Bond will be required in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the contract price. The Performance Security is to be received not later than two (2) weeks after the award of the contract by the letter of intent and prior to start of work. to the formal execution of the agreement. No work is to be undertaken until the Performance Security has been received. Performance Security will not be required for a contract value of less than $25,000. Labor and Materials Payment Bond A Labour and Materials Payment Bond will be required in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the contract price. The Labour and Materials Payment Bond is to be received not later than two (2) weeks after the award of the contract by the letter of intent and prior to the execution of the formal agreement. No work is to be undertaken until the Labour and Materials security has been received. Labour and Materials security will not be required for a contract valued at less than $25,000.
