Description

Site work for a road / highway in Alert Bay, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

BC Timber Sales is seeking a contractor to deliver 4Km of forest road construction and 3Km of reconstruction services along the TS120-057 Forest Service Road and associated spurs within the Strait of Georgia Business Area near Sayward, British Columbia. The work includes large amounts of end haul, the installation of major culverts and other drainage structures, bridges, construction of specified large fills and engineered sections. The Contractor must have two full road construction sides to complete the project. The project involves working across varied terrain and includes activities such as managing cut-slope stability, end hauling and spoil placement, preparing quarry and pit sites, and implementing erosion and sediment control measures near riparian areas. Contractors will be required to coordinate with Ministry-appointed inspectors and professionals and follow detailed construction standards, environmental practices, and safety requirements.
