Site work for a water / sewer project in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Pittsburgh Water is requesting bids for the verification and replacement as necessary, of residential public-side and / or private-side lead service lines at about 1,500 to 1,700 locations within Pittsburgh Water's water service area. Work also includes site restoration of disturbed areas. PENNVEST funding requirements will apply to the project, including requirements for Davis Bacon Wage Rates, compliance with the American Iron and Steel Act, compliance with Build America, Buy America Act and the prohibition on Certain Telecommunications and Video Surveillance Services or Equipment, as described further in the Contract Documents. Contractors must demonstrate the Six Good Faith Efforts to identify and solicit DBE firms that are potential sources for any procurement action in the areas of project construction, equipment, services, and supplies by including state qualified small businesses, and minority and women owned business enterprises in the bidding process.
