Preventive maintenance and repair services are required for the Cable Television (CATV) System at the VA Illiana Health Care System. The contractor shall provide all labor, transportation, parts, and expertise necessary to maintain and service the CATV system, including amplifiers, cabling, taps/splitters, outlets, and modulators. Services include testing, replacing faulty or worn parts, inspecting electrical wiring and mechanical components, and ensuring equipment conforms to OEM standards. Preventive maintenance must be performed at least annually, with documentation provided to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR). Emergency repair services must be initiated within 24 hours of notification, with a phone response within 2 hours. All work must comply with NFPA, OSHA, TJC, VA, and OEM standards. Contractors must have factory-certified training and at least one year of experience on the specific equipment. Field Service Engineers (FSEs) must check in and out with Biomedical Engineering and VA Police Service, wear visible identification, and submit Field Service Reports (FSRs) after each visit. Work is to be performed during normal business hours, excluding federal holidays. All required parts, tools, manuals, and travel costs are included in the contract. The contractor must comply with VA facility policies, safety requirements, and federal records management regulations. The contract includes a base year and four one-year option periods.
