Description of Work: The purpose of this project is to design, remove, supply, and install a new chiller and three (3) 3 phase centrifugal pumps at City Hall, Asheville NC. This will also include the decommissioning of the existing system and ensuring the new equipment meets all operational requirements. The existing chiller is approximately 18 years old. The ramp is also used for loading and unloading supplies, as well as a walkway into and out of the building. The current chiller is seven feet four inches wide and twenty six feet three inches wide (7' 4" wide x 26' 3" long). It sits five feet four inches (5' 4") off the exterior wall. The building utilizes roughly 3 different manufacturers of fan coil units located throughout each floor. The selected Firm shall provide design, all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and services necessary to remove the existing chiller, install new equipment, relocate existing equipment (if applicable), and perform testing/balancing with a manufacturer approved representative and 3rd party commissioner selected by the city in compliance with manufacturer recommendations, project specifications, and applicable codes.
