Reference Number 0000303036 Question Acceptance Deadline 2025/10/15 04:00:00 PM CDT A Performance Bond of a Company Registered to Conduct the Business of a Surety in Manitoba, in the Form Attached to the Tender Documents, in the Amount of Fifty Percent (50%); of the Contract Price; and a Labour and Materials Payment Bond of a Company Registered to Conduct the Business of Surety in Manitoba, in the Form Attached to the Tender Documents, in the Amount of Fifty Percent (50%) of the Contract Price. Comply with the requirements of this section when performing the following work, as outlined in Section 02 8200-Asbestos Abatement - Summary of Work, and to confirm locations and approximate quantities of asbestos materials. .1 As needed, remove and dispose of asbestos-containing insulation present on fittings (elbows, tees, valves) of mechanical service lines present in affected ceilings throughout. .2 The scope of work is to include, but not be limited to, materials identified during the site walkthrough, Summary of Work, architectural drawings and as directed by the Consultant. .3 Work will also include the removal and disposal of all settled dust and debris and other identified asbestos-containing or potentially contaminated materials. .4 The Contractor is responsible for all final quantity determinations. 5 Perform asbestos removal by the Type 2 glove bag enclosure, as outlined in this specification. .6 Seal surfaces with sealer in all areas from which asbestos has been removed and surfaces potentially contaminated with asbestos. 7 All work will be subject to inspection and air monitoring inside and outside the asbestos work area(s) by the Consultant. Any contamination of the surrounding areas, indicated by visual inspection or air monitoring, shall necessitate complete cleanup of affected areas by the Contractor, at no cost to the Owner. The contractor recognizes that time is of the essence in remedying any noted contamination or other deficiencies. .8 The Contractor shall ensure that supervisory personnel, that has successfully undergone a minimum three-day asbestos abatement course approved by Manitoba Workplace Health and Safety, is present on site during all removal activities. .9 The Contractor shall ensure that all abatement personnel have successfully undergone a minimum two-day asbestos abatement course approved by Manitoba Workplace Health and Safety. .10 The Contractor must notify the Manitoba Department of Workplace Safety and Health 5-days prior to commencement of contaminated work. .11 The Contractor must notify the Environmental Consultant 24-hours prior to requiring a final visual assessment or air monitoring. .12 Relocate, suspend or secure and protect any equipment, materials, or items within the work area to prevent contamination. .13 The Asbestos Removal Contractor will be responsible for all costs incurred for the completion of additional final visual inspections or air clearance monitoring if the first inspection or air clearance tests fail. .14 Owner: Brandon School Division .15 Architect: MCM Architects Inc .16 Prime Contractor: To be determined. .17 Asbestos Removal Contractor: To be determined. .18 Environmental Consultant: Tesseract Environmental Consulting Inc.
