The project includes roadway resurfacing of Main Street between Burlington Avenue and IL Route 53. This project will also include pedestrian ADA ramp improvements and, after investigation by the selected engineer, possibly a new sidewalk on the west side of Main Street from Short Street to Hawthorne Lane. No intersection capacity improvements are anticipated on Main Street at Burlington Avenue or Illinois Route 53. Portions of the project are adjacent to the regulatory floodplain and the section under the BSNF Railroad Bridge is identified as floodplain The scope of services shall include all necessary Phase I & Phase II engineering services associated with the design and contract document preparation for STP projects administered by IDOT. Funds for design engineering services will be funded entirely by the Village. The Construction and Construction Engineering for this project, if awarded funds, will be funded in part with federal Surface Transportation Program (STP) dollars allocated to the Village of Lisle. The construction contract will be let and administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation ("IDOT"). Firms should include their IDOT prequalification. Any questions shall be asked in writing and sent via email to Michelle Gleisner, Financial Services Director at procurement@villageoflisle.org. All questions shall be received no later than 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 3, 2025. All responses to material questions will be made by written addendum duly issued by the Village. If a written addendum is issued, either as a result of a request for an interpretation or as a result of a change to this document initiated by the Village, an addendum will be published to online and the Village website no later than 3 days before the submission deadline. The Village assumes no responsibility for receipt of such addendum. The Village shall not be responsible for any costs incurred by any person or entity to prepare, submit or present its response to this request. Additionally, the Village reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to reject any and all statements, to waive any irregularities in any submitted statement or to accept any statement, which will best serve the interest of the Village.
