All quotes must be submitted on forms provided by the City of Yankton. The City of Yankton, South Dakota reserves the right to reject any or all quotes and to waive any informalities therein to determine which is the best and most advantageous quote to the City. Bidders may contact the Director of Environmental Services (605) 668-5274 or (605)660-6704 for additional clarification of these specifications. Request for such clarification should reach the Director not later than seven (7) days before the date on which bids are due. This bid is for year 2025. This contract shall begin on October 2nd, 2025, and must be completed by November 5, 2025, weather permitting. Two days of wet weather are figured into this schedule. If more than two days of wet weather are encountered, one additional day will be allowed as compensation for each day lost to wet weather. If mud will be tracked onto the road from the field, the contractor will not be allowed to work and a rain day will be allowed. City of Yankton personnel will make the determination about rain days and they will be counted in one-half day increments. If crops are not out of the fields by October 15, 2025, the start date will be adjusted accordingly and 26 days will be allowed for completion. After November 5, 2025, or the revised completion date, liquidated damages of $500.00 per day will be charged to the contractor. Also, one additional day will be added for every 100,000 gallons over 1,500,000 gallons of liquid wastewater sludge.
