Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The Work consists generally of additions to AND alterations of an existing elementary school building and site Construction shall be in full accord with the Bid Documents comprised of Project Manual and Drawings. Construction shall include the furnishing of all materials, equipment, and labor according to the Bid Documents as prepared by Jack R. Kinkel and Son Architects for HUNTINGBURG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ADDITION AND RENOVATION 2025, SOUTHWEST DUBOIS COUNTY SCHOOL CORPORATION. The proposal must be accompanied by a certified check made payable to the Southwest Dubois County School Corporation in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid or an acceptable bidder's surety bond made payable to Southwest Dubois County School Corporation, in a SPECIFIC AMOUNT of not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Indiana. The certified check or bidder's bond shall be a guarantee that said bidder will, if the contract is awarded to him, execute within ten (10) days from the acceptance of his proposal a contract for the work bid upon, and furnish acceptable surety bonds as set forth in the specifications. However, if the contractor has not executed the contract within the ten (10) day period, or has failed to furnish acceptable surety bonds as indicated, the Board of School Trustees reserves the right to award the contract to the next higher or best bidder, and declare forfeiture of the defaulting bidder's bid security. All state, municipal and local licensing requirements must be met prior to submitting bid. Contractors shall hold the following Indiana Public Works Division Certification(s): 1542.00A Institutional Buildings (Hospitals, Schools, Prisons) in excess of $10,000,000.00. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids. The Board of School Trustees of the Southwest Dubois County School Corporation reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any defects or informalities if deemed by it to be for the best interest of said Board. ***Document Note: Sets may be downloaded for a non-refundable fee of $50.00, payable directly to MACO. It is mandatory that each prime contract bidder obtain one (1) set of bidding documents and register for such at online. One (1) set of bidding documents consists of one (1) project manual and one (1) complete set of drawings. Amount of the deposit for up to three sets of bidding documents may be refunded in full if the plans and specifications have been returned to MACO - Evansville Blue within ten (10) days after time set for receiving bids and in good re-usable condition. If the plans and specifications are returned after the (10) day period or in unusable condition, the deposit will be forfeited Question Deadline 10/17/2025
