The project will consist of furnishing all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, and incidentals necessary to perform the construction of a hike and bike trail along Faulkey Gully from Spring Cypress Road to Guernsey Road for Harris County Precinct 3. This project is for the construction of approximately 2.4 miles of hike and bike trail along Faulkey Gully (HCFCD K142-00-00), a tributary to Faulkey Gully (HCFCD K142-03-00), and a detention basin (HCFCD K542-00-00) located in northwest Harris County. The proposed improvements primarily include asphalt trails of either ten feet or eight feet in width located within the maintenance berm areas between the top of banks and the right-of-way (ROW) lines. Also included is a twelve-foot-wide concrete underpass at North Eldridge Parkway and a single-span pedestrian bridge over the tributary channel. Other ancillary improvements include concrete sidewalks, ADA ramps, rails, drainage structures, concrete channel lining, riparap, and the re-grading of backslope swales.
