The Delaware River Port Authority ("Authority" or "DRPA") is a bi-state corporate instrumentality of the State of New Jersey and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The DRPA owns and operates four major toll bridge crossings of the Delaware River; the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, the Walt Whitman Bridge, the Commodore Barry Bridge, and the Betsy Ross Bridge. Each bridge facility includes office buildings, maintenance shops, garages, and other buildings and structures. In addition, the DRPA owns real property in the vicinity of the bridges. The Authority's transit subsidiary, PATCO, operates a rapid transit line providing public transport service between Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. The Authority hereby invites interested professional consulting engineering firms to submit a Statement of Qualifications ("SOQ") for CMS for Contract 5-G PATCO Row Embankment Restoration, Drainage Improvements and Retaining Wall Rehabilitation Project (the "Project"). This public advertisement constitutes the Authority's formal solicitation to determine the interest of qualified firms in the aforementioned project. Construction layout and surveying, tree removal, clearing and grubbing, traffic control, Ballast placement, slope stabilization consisting of riprap stone, vegetation, embankment cut and fill, removal existing GEO cell, top soil, seeding, mulching and fertilizing, silt fence, and stone construction entrance, inlet protection, pavement replacement, non-vegetative surface, removal of guardrail, installation of new guardrail with anchorage and end terminal, removal existing fence, installation new fence with gates and anti-climb assembly and fence repairs, removal of handrail and installation of new handrail, removal of existing concrete cap, installation of new concrete cap, concrete wall resurfacing, and drill and grout reinforcement, concrete spall repair, pressure injection crack repair, sealing of exposed concrete surfaces, permanent sheet pile retaining wall installation, existing wall removal, clean existing pipes and inlets, surface exploration and testing, install new concrete sidewalk and curb, vibration control and mitigation, Joint sealer asbestos - PCB removal. The Authority intends to establish a short list of consultants to receive a Request for Proposal ("RFP") and to engage a consultant for this Project. TERM OF ENGAGEMENT It is expected that the term of engagement for the Project will be approximately 22 months, which shall commence as of the date of execution of an Agreement following the RFP process.
