Project Description: a. Mechanical: The existing chilled water VAV air handling unit, will be replaced with a new chilled water VAV air handling unit with electric reheat. The boilers, hot water pumps, hot water piping, accessories and controls will be demolished due to the electrification of this project. A new constant volume air handling unit will be provided for Maintenance Support Room 102 and 102 Mezzanine. The existing fan coil unit will be replaced with a new chilled water fan coil unit. All VAV boxes will be replaced. Ductwork will be reused where possible. New air-cooled chiller, chilled water pumps, piping, accessories and controls will be provided to serve the building. A new exhaust fan will be installed to serve the restrooms. The existing HVUs and ductwork will be abandoned in place, and new gas fired radiant heaters will be provided in the hangar bay. b. Electrical: The existing mechanical equipment as described in the mechanical scope shall be removed by the mechanical contractor. The electrical contractor shall disconnect existing equipment. Equipment will have existing conduit and wire removed back to the serving panel/source. New circuits (conduit and wire) shall be installed to the new equipment. The chiller ACC-1 is the only exception where existing conduit will remain for reuse with new wire. Existing breakers will be reused in panels where possible. New disconnects will be installed with the new circuiting and equipment. Existing panels that are serving existing equipment will remain and be reused for the new equipment where possible. A new 125 amp, 480V, 3 phase panel will be installed to serve the new 1st floor equipment. But not limited to please review the specifications for more information. Prevailing Wages Apply.
