Renovation of a fitness / recreation center in Rantoul, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center.
As of October 7, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on October 20th, 2025. The project consists of removal and replacement of telescoping bleachers. Additional work includes refinishing of the gym floor, painting, electrical, and site concrete replacement. Prevailing wages in accordance with Champaign County is required. Bid security is required, in the form of a bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid as guarantee that the bid will not be withdrawn within 30 days after the date of opening of bids, and that the successful bidder will enter into a Contract for the work awarded to them. Bid security shall be made payable to Rantoul Township High School District #193. Bonds are required: Both a Performance Bond and a Labor and Payment Bond are required for this project, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Your Bid will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submission. Award of a contract is anticipated to occur at the October 2025 meeting of the Board of Education. Begin construction on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. The Work shall be Substantially Complete on or before Friday, July 31, 2026. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or any part thereof, to waive any informality in bidding, and to accept bids deemed most favorable to the owner.
