RIGHT TO WAIVE OR REJECT The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids. BID SECURITY Each Bidder must deposit with its Bid, security in an amount and form subject to the conditions provided in the Contract Documents. WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS Withdrawal of Bids will be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Work covered by this section shall include all labor, material, equipment, and services necessary to complete the job as shown or called for on Architectural and Structural Drawings. This section includes minimum requirements for variable speed motor controls referred to as Adjustable Speed Drives (ASD) also referred to as Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) or Variable Speed Drives (VSD). B. The drive manufacturer shall supply the drive and all necessary options as specified. All drives installed on this project shall be from the same manufacturer and have a common user interface (control panel). The manufacturer shall have been engaged in the production of this type of equipment for a minimum of 15 years. Drives that are manufactured by a third party and "brand labeled" shall not be acceptable. Drive manufacturers who do not build their own power boards and assemblies, or do not have full control of the power board manufacturing and quality control, shall be considered as a "brand labeled" drive. C. This specification is a supplement to the drive schedule. The drive schedule identifies the specific requirement for each drive instance on the project including size, voltage, enclosure rating, disconnecting means, and harmonic mitigation requirements of the drives.
