Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Millersville, Maryland. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Project information has been provided to Balter by both Gaudreau and Site Resources, Inc. (SRI). The project includes the design and construction of a new tennis center complex at the subject site. The center will consist of an indoor structure that holds eight (8) tennis courts along with associated support facilities. Based on the provided information, we assume that the new building will be a steel framed building with several bay doors for vehicle access. Structural loads for the proposed building were not available at the time this report was prepared. We have assumed maximum column loads of 100 kips, although this must be confirmed. We understand that the finished floor elevation of the building will be constructed close to existing grade, at an approximate elevation of EL. 108.0. In addition to the planned indoor courts, eight (8) outdoor courts are planned, with the potential for future expansion. The courts are planned to be asphalt tennis courts, constructed close to existing grade. The outdoor courts will be constructed adjacent to a planned entrance park, plazas and potential maintenance sheds. Also, a septic field is planned in the general vicinity of the outdoor courts. Several new parking lots are planned adjacent to the proposed building as well. We understand that the lots will be used for employees and the patrons of the tennis center, with the occasional delivery truck or dumpster pickup. Finally, several storm water management facilities are proposed for the site, at presently unknown locations.
