The work is located off Waterman Avenue and Willow Road in Prospect Heights, IL. The work will consist, in general, of earth excavation, sidewalk installation, combination curb and gutter removal and replacement, pavement patching, landscape restoration, and all other incidental work necessary to complete the project. Subcontracting portions of the work will be allowed pursuant to Section 108.01 of the “Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction,” Illinois Department of Transportation, latest edition. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond for five percent (5%) of the total bid made payable to the City of Prospect Heights shall accompany the bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bidder or subcontractor who, in the opinion of the Owner or the Engineer, does not have adequate experience, personnel or equipment to perform the work in a timely, efficient, and satisfactory manner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or any part thereof and waive any informality or any irregularities or defects in any or all proposals and to accept that bid which in its opinion is in the best interest of the Owner. It is the intent of the Owner to award a contract to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder. The work shall be completed on or before Friday, November 14th, 2025, as described in Article 108.05 of the Standard Specifications. In case of failure to complete the work on time, the provisions of Article 108.09 of the Standard Specifications will apply.
